Black History Month

A concert on Feb. 3 celebrating black history, accompanied by members of the MCC Jazz Band and College Singers, was one of several campus events offered during Black History Month observance. Several more events are planned, including Monday, Feb. 20: “Why Are We Still Waiting? 50 Years Since Civil Rights,” at 3 p.m. in the Blue and Gold Room, and “Who We Are and How Did We Get Here: Part II,” at 6 p.m. in Collegiate Hall; Tuesday, Feb. 21: “Black America After the Civil Rights Movement,” at 1:30 p.m. in the Blue and Gold Room, and “Let the Legends Speak,” at 6 p.m. in Collegiate Hall; Wednesday, Feb. 22: “Black History Jeopardy,” at 11:30 a.m.; Thursday, Feb. 23: “The Annual Love in Action Awards Dinner” at 6 p.m., in Collegiate Hall; and Monday, Feb. 27: “Lunch with the President” at 11:30 a.m. in Collegiate Hal
