Elevator pitch competition to award prizes of $500 to $1,000

elev-pitchHave a business idea you can pitch in under 120 seconds? If so, join other high school and college

students in a friendly competition for a chance to win big cash and bring that idea to life.

First prize is $1,000, second is $750, and third is $500.

In what is being called an elevator pitch competition, students have two minutes to present their

business idea, real or imagined, in front of a panel of entrepreneur judges. No props or presentation slides

are allowed.

Online registration is due on Thursday, Nov. 10 at <guides.baker.edu/elevatorpitch>. Practice

pitches will take place on the following Thursday, Nov. 17, with the finals competition on Thursday, Dec.

8. The finals will start at 4:30 p.m. in Room 1100 in the Stevenson Center at MCC.

Sponsors are MCC, Baker College, Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce, Nichols, Hines

Corp., and Eagle Alloy.
