Pick-up VB, pool or bowling events: stress relievers

For a little end-of-semester relaxation, how about a pick-up volleyball game, or billiards

and bowling tournament? All three events are open to any MCC student and are sponsored by the

MCC Rec Center. Two of the three will offer sub sandwiches or pizza as part of the event.

The volleyball games will take place from 12:15 to 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2 in

the MCC Bartles-Rode Gym. Students may participate for the entire time, or any part of the two-

hour block. Registration will be made at the event and as an added bonus, Subway sandwiches

will be available for all players at the conclusion.

A billiards (eight-ball pool) tournament, with men’s and women’s divisions, will be held

from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, Dec. 4, at Northway Lanes, 1751 Evanston Ave. Registration is

$5, which includes play and pizza. The tournament is free for students currently enrolled in PEA

105-01.

Also at Northway Lanes will be a four-person men’s, women’s and coed bowling

tournament. It will be offered from 12:15 to 3:15 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 11. The $5 registration

includes three games and shoes. The tournament is free for student currently enrolled in PEA

108-01.
