NBA Season Looks Bleak

The way things are looking there may not be an NBA season this year.

NBA commissioner David Stern has already cancelled the first 2 weeks of the season. The pre-season which is supposed to be happening now has been cancelled as well.

Stern has publicly stated that: “We remain very, very far apart on virtually all issues. We just have a gulf that separates us. We are so far apart…we can’t close the gap. With every day that goes by, I think we need to look at further reductions on what’s left of the season.”

This happened before back in the 1998-1999 season, where the season was reduced to only 50 games. The Los Angeles Lakers won the NBA championship in that shortened season. The 1st of 3 straight championships.

The NBA is coming off a highly-anticipated and successful season. From the combined talents of Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh to the Miami Heat, to whether the Los Angeles Lakers would get their 2nd 3 peat in a decade. If the NBA is to be locked out for the whole season, it will be devastating to the players, and more importantly the fans.

Cody Kleeves

The Jayhawk’s Cody Kleeves is one of the greatest shooters I have ever seen in my life.

He can make it from anywhere beyond the 3 point line. I’ve seen this guy 4 feet behind the line and make 4 to 5 in a row effortlessly.

You can guard him, and put a hand in his face and he will continue to make shots making you look silly for trying. Not only can he shoot, he also has pretty good dribbling skills that help him create his own shot.

He was clearly the best player on the team (respectively) and will probably keep that title this upcoming season. Cody led the Jayhawks last season in scoring averaging 17 points per game. He shot 40% from the field, 38% from the 3 point line, and 70% from the free throw line. He made ninety-nine 3 pointers last season as well.

When the game was on the line, Cody was the one we wanted the ball to go to. He’s proven himself to the community that he is a force to be reckoned with. You can catch him in this upcoming season wearing the #1 jersey. Watch and be amazed at this guy’s game. It’s phenomenal!!!
